I’m not a perfect person
There’s many things I wish I didn’t do
But I continue learning
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to knowI’ve found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
And the reason is you

I’m sorry that I hurt you
It’s something I must live with every day
And all the pain I put you through
I wish that I could take it all away
And be the one who catches all your tears
That’s why I need you to hear

I’ve found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
And the reason is you

And the reason is you
And the reason is you
And the reason is you

I’m not a perfect person
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know

I’ve found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
And the reason is you

I’ve found a reason to show
A side of me you didn’t know
A reason for all that I do
And the reason is you

I already posted the lyrics to this a while back but I found the song played to scenes from the Notebook and I just had the need to share it.   The irony of finding this today too still surprises me but that’s another story.  It reminds me of my life and my husband who I wanted to represent this movie with. I know life is more than jsut scenes from movies, but the Notebook really shows how hard relationships can be.  Additionally, movies can really show some of the experiences people go through.  Every time I watch this movie, I see myself in this movie and I saw my husband as Noah.  I can’t explain it but I did.  Not only that, the first time I heard this song, I fell in love with it and it is also what I wanted with my husband. It makes a very nice collaboration who ever created the youtube video and it really is what I WANTED for my life. So here it comes, maybe some of you can relate to this as well. Its a beautiful song and as you know the Notebook is a WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL movie.

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

[Instrumental break]

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

You raise me up… To more than I can be.
